Had a very satisfying first day of self employment working for the Centre for the Contemporary Arts in the Natural World at Haldon Forest.
I took my A frame shelter and put up a lazy version by lashing a ridge pole between 2 trees. Lit a little fire and made 4 batches of artists charcoal with people who dropped in during the day. Lots of families and children who were understandably more interested in drawing than the process of making the stuff.
