Discover the Joys of Whittling
Saturday 27th April 2019 In North Cornwall – Near Launceston
Spend the day around the campfire with Richard Irvine, author of ‘Forest Craft’, learning the skills needed for a lifetime of whittling in a beautiful Cornish woodland. Develop the timeless skills of carving sticks and branches with a single knife. You will find out how to choose, use and sharpen a whittling knife and gain knife skills and confidence with a range of techniques. You will have the chance to make several small items such as camp and kitchen gadgets, toys, whistles and small carvings or just to doodle in wood as you wish.
Venue: Wild Spaces Adventure Learning and Forest School Education. Panson Mill. (between St. Giles on the Heath and Virginstowe.)
Time: 10.00 – 16.00 Cost: £50 per person
All tools, wood and hot drinks included.
